St. Joseph's Halle
St. Joseph’s Society is chartered by parish men under the guidance of Fr. Joseph Roch to create a dedicated space for community and fellowship.
✦ A Historic Timeline ✦
Fr. Roch begins the vision for a permanent hall, recognizing the need for a gathering place for parish and community life.
Construction of St. Joseph’s Halle is completed and the building is officially dedicated, built through the efforts, talent, and contributions of parish members.
The Halle becomes fully active as a central meeting place for parish organizations, school functions, social gatherings, and community events.
Following the passing of Fr. Roch, the Halle also serves as a place of remembrance, with his body lying in state before burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
For over a century, the Halle has continued to host parish life, community gatherings, fundraisers, and cultural events.
A full restoration and expansion project is completed, modernizing the facility while preserving its historic character.
St. Joseph’s Halle continues to serve Fredericksburg as a historic, volunteer-supported venue for weddings, celebrations, parish traditions, and community events.
