Is the Halle only available to members of St. Mary’s?
No. While the St. Joseph’s Society supports the mission of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Parish, the Halle is available for use by both local residents and visitors seeking a unique venue in Fredericksburg. We welcome weddings, receptions, conferences, educational programs, musical events, community gatherings, and private celebrations.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
Yes. We are happy to host site visits of the Halle so you can view the space in person and make an informed decision for your event.
Will I need to arrange for keys?
No. The facility uses a keyless entry system that is activated for your rental period. Access is managed remotely by our team, making entry and security simple and efficient.
Is a deposit required to reserve the facility?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your reservation date. Deposit amounts and payment details may vary depending on the type and size of the event. Please contact us directly for current rental policies and availability.
What is the occupancy capacity of the facility?

Does the Verein provide security services?

In specific instances, setup of tables, chairs, and basic arrangements can be provided by the St. Joseph’s Verein for an additional fee. As a nonprofit organization, our pricing structure is designed to remain as affordable and community-focused as possible while covering operational needs.
Do you offer on-site event support?
Yes. For an additional fee, we provide on-site support services including lighting assistance, sound management, and audio/visual presentation support to help ensure your event runs smoothly.
Does the facility have an ice machine?
Yes. The facility includes a full kitchen equipped with an on-site commercial ice machine available for event use.
Can I select my own caterer?
Yes. We do not restrict catering choices. Clients are welcome to select the caterer that best fits their event needs and preferences.
Are live musicians or bands allowed?
Yes. Live music and entertainment are permitted. The Halle’s exceptional acoustics make it an excellent venue for musical performances, receptions, concerts, and community events.
Is alcohol allowed at events?

Parking Information
Please note that the parking lot located east of the building does not belong to the St. Joseph’s Verein. Guests should follow all posted signage and parking instructions when attending events.
Fire Code & Exit Door Policies
For the safety of all guests, all fire code regulations and egress door requirements must be strictly followed during events. Exit pathways and doors must remain accessible at all times.
Facility Closing Procedures
Event organizers are responsible for ensuring the facility is properly secured at the conclusion of their event, including cleanup, shutdown procedures, and locking the building as outlined in the rental agreement.
